The body cam footage of George Floyd's murder is absolutely deplorable. And the fact that there is talk that one of the partner officers could have his charges dropped because he said "roll him to his side" is mind numbing to me.
Do you think if I stood next to a patient and just yelled "get well soon" that would be enough to save a person in crisis? And before you say it's not the same, it is. Standing idly by and neglecting to fix a situation you know is wrong makes you guilty. CHANGE NEEDS ACTION.
You intervene when a person is in crisis. I pledged to do no harm. They pledged to serve and PROTECT.
