Growing up, I was told the point of men and women coming together was to build a life together.

This implied I couldn't have a full life without a woman completing my other half.

It turns out this is sometimes true and also mostly wrong.
I used to think that a woman who was strong enough to insert her goals into my goals and morph them into our goals, was a high value woman.

If you're trying to make babies, this is kind of true. Making babies and keeping them alive is best done with two people involved.
When I wasn't focusing on building a family, though, her goals and vision of our life together didn't fit mine anymore.

So when we broke up, I regained focus on what I really wanted to do, and ironically enough, felt whole again.
Male-female polarity is a man finding his strength by making a plan and having someone to protect, and a woman finding her safety by encouraging his plan and keeping him strong.

When she makes the plans or attempts to be strong, polarity gets disrupted, and leads to breakups.
Because eventually, I'm going to do what I want to do anyway.

When she encourages what I want, I feel a stronger long term bond.

When she chases what she thinks she wants instead (or worse, what she thinks we should both want!), I feel the bond weaken.
This isn't sexism or misogyny, it's polarity. You can't have two captains of the ship, otherwise the ship goes nowhere.

This is why so many modern marriages don't work, can't work.

Because modern "compromise" usually means he gives up what he wants. https://twitter.com/Himandi13/status/1287792242959224854?s=19
Harems work. Because the king is chasing his goals no matter what, and the women who encourage him get to stick around.

As soon as she quits encouraging his goals, he shouldn't marry her! Haha! That's the egalitarian equality lie.

No, he should replace her with a woman who does
The point of bringing a woman into your life after you're done making babies, is to enjoy her contributions to your week and your activities together, while you're also doing and being whatever the hell you were going to do and be in the first place before she got there.
