Absolutely agree. I've interrupted on teams/zoom several times & felt bad abt it, but quite difficult to avoid esp w patchy internet. Also I'm autistic & many of the social cues I've learned to understand/respond to are either not there at all or become substantially altered on video link. It's quite stressful trying to 'read' people through the screen.
I imagine these problems also exist in varying forms for students trying to interact w tutors & classmates via video link. The multitude of new social situations one navigates as an undergrad (& power imbalances too) are further complicated by the demands of video communication.
