The titanic is sinking and liberals are like "it's fine, we'll replace the captain! all we can do is vote"

and then instead of getting in the life boats, they chop them up to make firewood for the rich passengers' staterooms

everyone on the ship is given a box of matches and the richest 5 families get a life boat each, chopped up and burning in their big fancy fireplace

and everyone on the ship spends their last moments arguing about who deserves to be allocated more wood to burn to keep warm

completely forgetting to do anything about the iceberg or the fact that they will all drown because they now have no life boats
