atla is a good show but lets not forget that it is an asian show made by an all-white/mostly white writer & director crew. not saying nobody can enjoy it bc its ~problematic~ but since the creative team behind it are mostly white, please be critical on how it shows asian culture.

as an asian person i appreciate that this show got a whole lot of love bc we havent seen that much asian rep in media in that era, but also its so blatant that the show was made by white people, its impossible to ignore some aspects in the show.

honestly i feel like the criticism hasnt been brought up that much bc people take one look at atla and its environment and just think "yup, thats asia!" and thats it
