How much FINANCIAL AID have Inter Milan & Antonio Conte ended up giving MANCHESTER UNITED?

Since the end of 2018/19 season, Inter have purchased Romelu Lukaku, Ashley Young and now in all probability Alexis Sanchez from Manchester United.

All three players were deadwood in our club at the end of the last season, but the financial gain in staggering

Before I spew out numbers, just a heads up. #MUFC were paying the following salaries to three players :

Sanchez - €420,000 per week, €21.84m annually.

Lukaku - €200,000 per week, €10.4m annually.

Ashley Young - €135,000 per week, €7m annually.

I'll be adding up the wages saved annually and any tranfer fees received from Inter to just arrive at a figure which we have JABAITED out of the Milan club.

Inter paid €85 million for Lukaku, yes, EIGHT FIVE MILLION EUROS at a time when he had 3 years left on his #MUFC contract.

And hence, the club saved €31.2m on his salary over & above the €85 million received.

Having first loaned Alexis Sanchez for a season & now a potential free transfer has meant that United get rid off his huge 3 years contract.

Sanchez was the highest paid PL player ever. #MUFC will end up saving €75 million with his free transfer.

Similarly, the club received €1.5m for the transfer of Ashley Young with a year left on his contract. Thus, saving €8m transferring him out.

This totals up to financial gain (tranfer fee + wages saved) of nearly €200 million on selling deadwood.

2-year revenue an English club receives via participation in UCL.
Cumulative 4-year wage bill of Martial, Rashford, Bruno & Pogba.
