The story from one of the kidnapped victims in Danbushiya,new kaduna township is quite revealing. The actual number of people abducted were ten,not twenty or thirty. They were moved by foot and trecked for eleven hours.

Along the way,the first group that abducted them handed them over to another group. It was the second group that shepherded them to a camp somewhere in the bush around Rijana town. The first group told them that they were invited from Sokoto for the operation.

They came and lodged in a hotel for two days and checked out on the D-Day. They said they were mere errand boys with guns given to them by their masters who live in the big cities. The big men own the kidnapping business and all monies go to them.

In the camp they were beaten daily and their cries recorded to scare their relatives to bring more money. Guns were also fired. They were fed rice,oil and salt daily cooked by women captives they met there. There were many bags of rice and gallons of vegetable oil.

The camps are many and there is evidence that police know about it as there were burnt police pickups vans abandoned during a raid. He said occasionally fighter jets fly overhead which send the kidnappers into hiding.

That the camp has an installed solar electricity which the kidnappers use to recharge their phones. He learnt that the area was once raided by Abba Kyari team but no more raids by the police or military.

After 21 days, only 7 of the victim's families were able to raise the money

But the kidnappers said because of sallah,they were releasing all the ten people. That was how they were dumped near Kaduna-Abuja tollgate around 2am. He said all the kidnappers were Fulani.
