I am often asked why I am "puritan" when it comes to Ramayana & Mahabharata. I make sure to point out what exists in them and what doesn& #39;t. Some people wonder how it helps when everything is a part of tradition, whether old or new. This is a valid question. Here comes (1)

I was once asked about Mahabharata by a curious Hindu. He was a Sai Baba devotee & he believed that Babaji was an avatara of Bhagvan Vishnu. He was quite sure of it & he asked me for reference in Mahabharata. When I told him it doesn& #39;t exist in Mahabharata, he was quite surprised
Now I have got nothing against Sai Baba ji and their devotees.
But it is a fact that Sai Baba belonged to 20th century & he was not mentioned or predicted in Mahabharata. This is not intended as an offence to anyone but this is just a fact.
And I believe no one should not know

This is why I believe in keeping strict chronology.
I believe we owe it to the future generation to not completely muddle our culture, history, past & heritage with our present to such an extent that we can& #39;t even leave an accurate representation of it to the future generation
