I had a terrible experience yesterday evening with the matatu transportation to Rongai. Here's how it went.
First, I stood hapo Agip stage for like an hour. Every matatu that came kept charging 300/= or 350/= for fare. But zilikuwa zinaita "Ronga ronga". Anyone that lives in
Rongai knows that when the conductor says Ronga there's a high likelihood that the mat will drop passengers maasai lodge ama wakijaribu sana Tumaini. S/he has to say sth like "Ronga tuskys".

Fare ya nganya had even hiked to almost double, and around those evening hours, Nganyas
never get you to Tusyks. Hata wakiita "ronga tuskys" they don't. So we got tired of waiting for matatus, then Snowball came. They're a bit like Nganyas but they always get to tuskys sometimes past and most of the times they even use the Gataka route which gets us home early,
despite the terrible bumpy and dusty journey. But hata hizo were charging hyo fare ya 300. Shock on us when it turned around hapo galleria tukashukishwa.

That's when we learnt that kulikuwa na msako wa magari za Ronga to see if they had complied with the Covid-19 transportation
rules where they're required to get sth called Covid-19 certificate. Matatus zilijaribu only got to CUEA ama cambridge but pia hizo ziliturn around. Those that had taken route ya kuingia karen ndo waconnect na ya Gataka walirudishwa huko penye walikuwa wamefika.
Most of them hadn't complied with the rules so zile zilikuwa zinatoka tao hazikuwa zinafika rongai na zenye zilikuwa ronga hazikuwa zinaenda tao. Every stage ya mat za ronga were full. I wish I had taken a photo ya the huge crowd pale nyayo.
Hata galleria watu walikuwa wamejaa vibaya so it was obvious waiting for matatus to connect kwenda home was not an option. Saa hyo, I only had 150/= in my pocket. A few matatus that came kubebea hapo galleria were charging another 300/=. Ukibahatika sana 200/=.
Na bikes pia ni expensive. As expected, they were taking advantage of the situation so we started walking. Haki walking from galleria to CUEA/cambridge ain't no easy task. Tukakazana tu. Eventually some of us managed to bargain na watu wa bike hapo cambridge wakakubali kutubeba
na 150 mpaka tuskys. Problem is, I live past tuskys. I got home dirty, sweaty and exhausted. I couldn't feel my feet. I had a throbbing headache.

Kenya is not a country anymore. The way it continues to impose rules without safeguards for the ordinary citizens shows that
it has only one thing in mind- to kill us. Kama si police brutality ni hunger ama demolition of homes or lack of access to critical healthcare or the reckless manner in which it imposes certain rules without weighing the risks. I am fed up with this shithole. I am fed up with
a clueless president that gives misinformed speeches and continues to be blind and deaf to the kind of harm his government is putting us through.
Hata let me stop here. Sina nguvu ya kuendelea kurant😭
