CN: sport, trans women
I& #39;ve looked around with no luck - does anyone know what "latest peer-reviewed research" world rugby has used to decide that transition doesn& #39;t reduce bone density/muscle mass in transgender women who transition in adulthood?

This is obviously following the Guardian article following them seeing a leaked 38 page document.
Some of the stuff in the Guardian reporting sounds dodgy, but we know they often lean phobic and I would love to see it in context in the document itself. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2020/jul/19/transwomen-face-potential-womens-rugby-ban-over-safety-concerns">https://www.theguardian.com/sport/202...

This one is close to my heart. Rugby has been my sport all my life. I grew up with my dad playing it, and I played it for more than a decade until accumulated injury forced retirement. It& #39;s a very physical sport and there is risk from contact, so I see why it& #39;s a test case here.
Even from the selective quoting from the Guardian, even if everything they said was 100% accurate, it doesn& #39;t sound like a blanket ban would be appropriate (trans women who transition before puberty? Touch/tag rugby?). But the selective quoting makes me suspect the accuracy.
Talking about the increased risk of injury a cis female player faces in contact with a male player, for instance, doesn& #39;t seem relevant when considering trans women who have medically transitioned?
So, yeah, would really like to know what research they& #39;re looking at.

Thinking about it, this rugby question is lightly different to the standard rhetoric. Less "not fair to cis women as trans women have a sporting advantage because *things that don& #39;t correlate well with being better at sports*", more risk-focussed. One to watch for contact sport.
