for the facts, i was diagnosed with anxiety way back 2018 and atypical depression last summer 2019. i& #39;ve seen a therapist ocassionally and have been taking meds, and i& #39;ll say i& #39;ve been getting better already! i just want to use this thread to talk about my experience and such.
1.) sleeping- sleeping is one of the most basic ways to cope with stressfulness, but keep in mind that sleeping shouldn& #39;t be used as a scapegoat! do not use sleeping to run away from your problems and instead use the rest to freshen up your mind and reflect on your situation.
personally, since stress is very, very tiring and full of fatigue, i rest and sleep a lot. while drifting away, i evaluate the environment around me and decide the best way to deal with my problems. that way, i& #39;ve have both rested and figured out what to do next.
think about what stresses you out and how you may be able to tackle it, may it be having peers to talk to, improving yourself by dealing witb you issues, etc. do this and get some rest as well to deal with your fatigue!
2.) gaming- although some form of escapism, entertainment can be used as a way you can divert from stress for a while but not run away. it can be also be healthy in way as a form of interaction with your friends. it can be any form of entertainment. just have fun for a while!
any form of entertainment also help rid of anxiety by having all your focus within something you enjoy, but gaming personally rids me of things i worry about while enjoying my time with my friends. just enjoy yourself and forget your worries and anxieties for a moment, okay?
3.) drinking- because of anxiety, i always stress over the fleeting feeling that i have to do something, that i& #39;ll be reprimanded if i just lay around doing nothing. more than often, i direct myself to rid of this worry by drinking water.
it gives me something to do and finish, and rids me of that worry that i& #39;m lacking something to contribute. this is only my personal activity, and there are many other things you can set a goal to so that you may ease that anxious feeling and tell yourself "i& #39;m doing this".
(being hydrated also reduces fatigue and it& #39;s healthy for your body functions of course. stay hydrated! it& #39;s good for you!)
4.) creating- something that my therapist recommended. when you& #39;re feeling sad, fatigued, or stressed, just create. it can be anything from drawing, writing, or crafting. your emotions can be directed into a form of creation, in one way or another. know what you& #39;re feeling.
tackle your stressfulness into writing by forming stories about pushing through your problems; draw something to realize the beauty of the environment and the world besides your stress; craft something that makes you happy to remind yourself you& #39;re capable of amazing things.
"remind yourself of what you can do instead of being sad about what you& #39;ve done wrong. see the beauty of the world instead of focusing on what& #39;s bad about it. "
was what my therapist told me, and i think everyone can apply that. see the world& #39;s beauty. not only problems exist.

5.) self harm - in the past

your body doesn& #39;t deserve these lines of self loathing and misery. no matter how stressful things get, there is always something to look forward to. if this day was bad, just try again the next. you have survived 100% of your worst days. you& #39;re strong, and you can be stronger.
there is always opportunities waiting for you, happiness, joy, great people waiting to greet you and listen to you and your problems. there is a ton of love waiting for you after your bad days. it gets worse before it gets better, and you can hold on.
