What grinds my gears.

// A thread \\\\
First of all, I just want to say that I absolutely love money twitter.

But I’ve experienced some ⚙️ grinding lately. 👇
1. Scammers

A big time scammer was just outed today.

He appeared to be doing quite well. But it was all a lie.

He had completely fabricated results tweets. He was attaching other creators’ courses as incentives to buy his. WITHOUT their permission.

Don’t be like him. Don’t
2. Used car salesmen

These guys are in your DMs as soon as you hit the follow button.

They hit you up to buy their courses within the first interaction. And don’t let up until you buy.

As soon as you do, engagement disappears.

Connections matter. Build them.
3. “That’s it. That’s the tweet” tweets

Completely unnecessary. If you leave that line off, we know that’s the tweet.

Because....we can see the tweet. We read it. The tweet is in fact the tweet.

Knowledge đź’Ł right there.
4. Absolutes

Tweets that speak absolutes.

I get the psychology behind these tweets. I have a psych degree.

But some of these are infuriating. Don’t fall for their wizardry.
5. Constant follower updates

Yes, every follower is important. But I don’t need to see you celebrate every little milestone.

Plus, I don’t need to be reminded of how much better than me you are
6. Covered up twitter headers

There are lots of really cool headers out there. But many have valuable info that is covered up by their profile pic.

Don’t mismanage your real estate.

(If you click the link in my bio you can learn all about designing your own headers for FREE!)
If you’ve made it this far, I appreciate you.

Much of this thread is to be taken in jest. I do understand the psych and reasoning behind many of these tactics.

And will use some myself.
