like, damn man i get it.
whole world is scary, you feel powerless. you're constantly told everything bad is happening and that you just have to watch it happen.

you want to feel like you can make a positive impact anywhere. fix some injustice. play a role.
this is literally what twitter is designed to make you feel, but you feel it anyways.

i sympathize. i feel powerless every day. it's why i try to help people when i can, and fuck it, i get lonely and lash out too. i get frustrated with people.
and like, i get that the cons outweigh the pros here. you built a social circle around people who have to practice a policy of "think as we think or you will be punished".

they're still your friends, even if you might not be allowed to disagree with them about some things.
i've been through the death threats, the harassment, the burakumin treatment. it fucking sucks.

but how are you not overwhelmingly aware you're recycling the same homophobic, transphobic arguments that heteronormative society has lobbed against you for decades?
when your line of argument is "queerness is inherently sexual, and therefor any queer expression is a threat to our kids" how do you not get flashbacks to "i wouldn't trust a gay man around my children".
