Korean WlZ*ONE have tried warning us not to share PM publicly because of how it can hurt lZ*ONE, but many intl fans brush this off as capitalism. PM translations are often shared publicly to show a more casual side of lZ*ONE without realizing the harm it causes.
Korean WlZ*ONE are often vocal and protective of lZ*ONE PM because they've seen the consequences of leaks.
An example of damage caused by leaking PM messages:

A member’s wording mistake in PM led to mocking and malicious comments after it was taken out of context on a K-forum.
Leaks and public translations have gained enough attention to be posted on K-news sites, Youtube, and instagram meme pages. When leaked PM, especially about sensitive topics, becomes viral, messages only meant for WlZ*ONE get exposed to non-fans and antis.
Ex: Viral PM translations help intl antis

CY and SK got intl hate for bickering about seating arrangements in PM. The antis most likely access mail through PM translations. While the antis actions are inexcusable, we are also wrong for feeding private materials to them.
Ideally, it would be best to keep PM a safe space for lZ*ONE while giving access to those who cannot afford or get access to PM.

Here are some suggestions of how to access and talk about PM in careful ways so only WlZ*ONE can see: https://www.reddit.com/r/iZone/comments/aivopg/installing_izone_private_mail_guide_by_changing/
We suggest WlZ*ONE avoid the following:
We believe that it is important to raise awareness about the consequences of sharing PM publicly. Regardless of the potential backlash we may receive from having such an unwavering stance, we hope this thread will be able to educate and initiate meaningful conversations about PM.
