@DanThurot is one of the best writers in the business. This is from a really good thread about impostor syndrome, thinking that you& #39;re not good enough to be where you are. I& #39;d like to share an anecdote about just continually trying, even when you feel like you& #39;re terrible: https://twitter.com/DanThurot/status/1290462886314364929">https://twitter.com/DanThurot...
We had a leader in our church over multiple congregations, a very involved responsibility which usually lasts about 10 years. I loved watching him stay true to his character, but become a little softer after working with people for so long. When I worked with him, I heard him
change his favorite leadership quote from "If you& #39;re not going to do it right the first time, when will you have time to do it again?" to "Let people do a bad job, because when people do a bad job, they learn. If you never let them do a bad job, you rob that person of learning."
Some days, I think I& #39;m doing terrible and should probably quit podcasting. But, everyone& #39;s allowed to struggle and have bad days. It& #39;s better that we keep trying, even if we& #39;re not as good as we feel like we should be.
I listen back to episodes I thought I did I terrible on. It often ends up being just as good as any other episode. Sometimes better. Who knows why we& #39;re such bad judges of ourselves. But, don& #39;t listen to that voice that says you& #39;re not good enough. Even if you& #39;re doing a bad job.
