Whenever I think of a word or phrase to translate from English to Spanish and do it without hesitation, I be like THIS FLUENCY IS COMIN BABY!
My only problems are that I’m still in the beginner’s phase of fluency in regards to my responses.

So, I can understand Spanish when it’s spoken to me, but that skill doesn’t translate into my responses.

My listening skills > my speaking skills
I think a lot of language learners experience this.

I think it can be solved by actively participating in the culture as an outsider.
You want to learn Spanish, but you don’t want to frequent your local Latinx/Hispanic stores?
You want to learn x language, but don’t seek out their friendship?
Language learners gotta put in the work.
I think that we’re afraid to try. We may feel intimidated.
But why engage with a skill half-ass? You knew what the work was, but you’re only doing the bare minimum.
I’m talking to myself as well, because I fall victim to this.
