Important #DnD question: would a permanent teleportation circle still work if you just... put a big rug on it?
Some DM: teleportation sigils are closely guarded secrets. Most people can't use them to fast travel between cities because if they saw them, they could recreate it and teleport an army in or something

Me: 2 big rugs
Someone: you can only teleport to one location. If you wanted to make your own circle you'd have to stay in the same place for a year

Me, every day in game: I cast teleportation circle on the rug again
The fact that teleportation exists but isn't used for mass transit of goods and people in most (any?) settings, and is instead just used for political/religious leaders and the occasional party of assholes is a travesty tbh
I see 3 possibilities re: rug on a circle:
1. It stops working (cool, locked the door I guess)
2. It keeps working and someone who teleports to it appears under the rug (objectively funny)
3. It keeps working and anyone who walks on the rug gets teleported, possibly by accident
