The Go-Gos documentary is the best rock doc I have seen in years. It was about the actual band & told the story & centered the actual work of being in a band, didn’t hide the warts. Mostly rn I’m just furious how they got written out of music history 1/4

I’m angry that the machine chewed them up & spit them out & that we didn’t get to have them as a BAND for many many many more years. 2/4

I saw them play on a bill with the Specials at Pier 84 in NYC & had no idea that they had toured with them (and Madness!) in the UK. There’s plenty of gossip & tons of archival footage (from Emerald City in N.J.!) 3/4

It is absolutely worth your time. Great documentary filmmaking, great storytelling, not one boring minute. And ffs PUT THEM IN THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME YOU BASIC ASS MOTHERFUCKERS 4/4
