Just catching up to Jaguar Wright. Man, there is so much to be said.
she has a lot to say about the rise of the neo-soul era in Philly, particularly involving the men. but just listening to her discuss how her traumatic experiences informed her behavior and perspective...whew.

You can tell how the passing of Malik B affected her.
I don't even know how to start discussing this. She details a LOT.
Are all the artists standing by Talib gonna pretend they didn't hear what Jaguar said about him being a peeping Tom? Or the Roots crew's mistreatment of Malik B?
This is a good thread of a good chunk of what she said. https://twitter.com/pisceanluvher/status/1289955710978215938?s=21 https://twitter.com/pisceanluvher/status/1289955710978215938
She also discussed labor exploitation. Malik B was allegedly only getting $300 a week from The Roots at the time of his passing, as they continued to distance themselves from him and his public battle with addiction, despite their own vices.
