hey everyone! so it& #39;s come to my attention that not many people know the reason why zayn has eyeliner on in this picture, and i thought it would be cool to share! so he posted it on eid al adha, the second of the 2 main islamic holidays. eyeliner is traditionally worn by muslims+

on this day to symbolize devotion to god, as this day honors the willingness of ibrahim to sacrifice his son, ismael, as an act of obedience to god& #39;s command. however, before he could sacrifice his son, god provided a lamb to sacrifice instead.

it& #39;s not about shedding blood to satisfy god, it& #39;s about sacrificing something we love most to show our devotion. we eat lamb on eid al asha to honor this day. idk if anyone was interested in hearing this, but I saw someone explaining it on tiktok and realized not many know this+

as a muslim i thought it would be cool to share the reason je was wearing eyeliner and what it symbolizes to muslims <3
