on this day to symbolize devotion to god, as this day honors the willingness of ibrahim to sacrifice his son, ismael, as an act of obedience to god's command. however, before he could sacrifice his son, god provided a lamb to sacrifice instead.

it's not about shedding blood to satisfy god, it's about sacrificing something we love most to show our devotion. we eat lamb on eid al asha to honor this day. idk if anyone was interested in hearing this, but I saw someone explaining it on tiktok and realized not many know this+

as a muslim i thought it would be cool to share the reason je was wearing eyeliner and what it symbolizes to muslims <3
