THREAD: Before @LewisforMN began his desperate quest to return to Washington D.C., he proudly boasted about his total unwillingness to help Minnesota farmers that have fallen on hard times: https://www.startribune.com/smith-attacks-lewis-over-past-crop-subsidy-comments/571988492/?refresh=true
Lewis made it perfectly clear that he's happy to watch farms fail and farmers go out of business.
Even if farmers have a tough year due to circumstances beyond their control, Lewis doesn't care. He says we should allow the farms that are the backbone of our economy to fail.
Lewis even blamed struggling farmers for their difficulties, saying that “sooner or later, agriculture is going to have to realize they’re their own worst enemy.”

Based on everything he's said, Minnesota agriculture's worst enemy is actually Jason Lewis.
During his time in Congress, Lewis was the only member of Minnesota's Congressional delegation to vote against the Farm Bill, which invested in:
- expanding broadband access
- supporting veteran, minority, and beginning farmers
- agricultural research
