What the ACT/College Board/holdout colleges that are requiring test scores for certain applicants are expecting students to do reeks of privilege. First, they expect students to be able to wait in an online queue for hours. That assumes they have a working comp or phone to do so.
Second, they're expecting students to be able to drive hundreds of miles out of their way - which might be feasible for folks who are able/have the means to do that, but is incredibly dangerous, particularly coming from states which are seeing high amounts of infection
Privileged populations might be able to make arrangements. But for those who still have to take the test for public institutions in their state - for athletes - for any international / homeschooled applicants still req. to take it - what gives?
I'm at the pt where I'm really not in the mood to use memes or gifs anymore. This isn't funny, it's not okay, and it's truly a matter of life or death. Remove all the requirements for everyone, for scholarships, for athletes.
