Spider-Man 2 (IMAX) - Costume appreciation [THREAD]
This is my favourite Spider-Man film from an aestetichal standpoint, Raimi and Pope really outdone themself. I prefer the first suit tbh, but since open matte version exist, so why not give a nice look.

"YEET!"
Also, let& #39;s take a moment to commemorate my big red boy, the 2002 back logo, replaced with this one. Wich looks cool and all, but to me it will never top the 2002 one.
This muscle suit is also HUGE, Spidey has a more 90& #39;s looking body than in the first movie.

And this, kids, it& #39;s why we wear faceshells.
Me, getting out of the bed with 4 hours of sleep, after staring at my phone for half an hour.
I sure don& #39;t look this cool tho.

I made the same face as Harry when I realized I almost skipped over this scene, goddamnit.
Also the colors are just magnificent here.

"I& #39;m just gonna take a Spidey-Nap... oh, nevermind."
Like a wise kid said back in 2002: "He& #39;s extremely cool."
"Aunt May!"
"You& #39;ve stuck your webs in my business for the last time."
I love how these might as well lines could be directly taken from a Stan Lee and Steve Ditko/John Romita Sr. comic. The people making this movie knew what they were doing damn well.

This is so sweet. I& #39;m sure Peter is worried, but I can almost hear his sigh of relief, knowing that May is ok.
Wall-crawling is so cool visually wise, I get why Insomniac decided to prioritize wall-running, but I hope that in the next game they give it more attention. It& #39;s not like it& #39;s impossible to make it feel fast, the "Spider-Man 2" videogame did it really well with the sprint mod.
Words are not needed for this one.
(Other than: how cool is the trick they used for this scene? He had a suit in his hands, but to have it placed like the ASM #50 splashpage without cutting the scene, they had another one in the trash can. Simple but effective.)

I can almost hear the "What have we done..?" inside Robbie& #39;s head. So powerful.
I mean, hell yeah.
(I 100% guarantee you that as soon as I get my 2002 suit and have the chance to get some decent pictures, those poses will be a top priority).

This shot is so brief but so focus, and so cool looking. I& #39;m glad I started this thread or else I probably would have never noticed it. And I watch this movie at least once a month.
"Hang on, I& #39;m gonna make history here".
Go home, Spider-Man, you are drunk.
Also check out Phil Lamarr, the voice of Statick Shock, Green Lantern (John Stewart), Samurai Jack and lots of other characters, holding Spider-Man on the right.

Zack Snyder& #39;s favourite shot.
Tricks like these are part of the reasons most people are not aware of faceshells.
Raimi used cleverly directing and editing to give the impressions that that& #39;s just how Peter looks when he wears the mask, like in a comicbook.
And I love it, it& #39;s almost magica.
It also looks dope

"Let& #39;s-get-this-bread."
Do I even have to explain my: "This is my favourite Spider-Man film from an aestetichal standpoint" at the beginning of the thread?
"My spider sense tells to be thankful I can heal fast... I don& #39;t know why. It& #39;s not like something is gonna hit my head any moment now".
"I know I& #39;m sounding like a broken record, but, about that Spider-Nap from before..."
This looks so good it& #39;s not even funny.
Peter about to deliver the speech that& #39;s gonna 100% make my eyes wet.
My God, I& #39;m so hyped to continue my new binge read of the Lee and Ditko Spider-Man comics after this thread is over.
MJ& #39;S FACE AHAHAHAHA
And so it ends, people.
If you made it thru here, I& #39;m glad you like to see many pictures of Spider-Man taken by some guy on the internet.
Seriously, thought, his was so fun, thanks for being here.
Bye!
