**Trigger Warning**

Ladies, how often have you experienced a “Christian side-hug” by men and it felt more like groping than brotherly love?

Has the age difference b/t the two of you made any difference?

Really want to hear my sister’s voices on this phenomenon.
I really hope men read comments in this thread. The “side hug” isn’t part of my culture. Especially as a black man in white spaces, RARELY would I ever hug a white woman (just being honest), & I’ve always found “side hugs” odd. Either you relationally close enough to hug or not.
I still remember seeing that pastor “side hug” Arianna Grande and it look like straight up groping. Always seemed to me that the “side-hug” provided an excuse for men who were strangers to women to violate normal boundary rules & get closer than they’d otherwise be allowed.
To all of you who have shared a story of feeling and/or being violated. I am so sorry.
