The BTS US Store/Dynamite store lets you purchase up to 4 copies of the single per order.

There’s an important reason for that.

4 is the maximum number of copies you should purchase per order because that’s the most that will count as individual, official sales for Billboard.

There is, in fact, a way to bypass the store's attempt to restrict you to 4 purchases in the same order. As doing so potentially harms BTS' Billboard Hot 100 chart position, I'm not going to explain how to do that here.

But seriously, please don't do that!

If you purchase more than 4 copies in the same order, none of them are counted toward Billboard. Justin Bieber confirmed this during Justin and Ariana’s Hot 100 dispute with 6ix9ine. Their manager Scooter Braun also said it.

Let me say that again: NONE will be counted.

Do I recommend creating separate orders of 4 copies each, with the same credit card?

No, as both Nielsen and Billboard conduct audits to look for “excessive bulk purchases.” When it finds these, it removes them from the sales total, meaning they do not count for the charts.

So you’ve bought 4 copies. Now what?

I don't recommend bulk purchasing in any form. I do recommend encouraging family members and friends to purchase the song, too. This is also a great approach if you can’t afford to buy copies yourself, which is OK!
