Tyler Seguin has been vocal in his support of Black Lives Matter. He attended a protest after George Floyd was killed. He created Badges on the Blue Line with a $50k donation, that "pairs at-risk youth with law enforcement mentors who use hockey to teach valuable life skills."
Seguin is also involved with St. Philip's School and Community Center in South Dallas, and said he will be part of two different initiatives in the future, one with the NHL and one on his own. He was the first to donate money to AAC workers after the stoppage.
Seguin helped with tornado relief efforts in October, and is the Stars' nominee for the King Clancy Trophy, given to the player "who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community."
