Department’s Findings with Respect to the 29 FISA Applications that Were the Subject of the March 2020 OIG Preliminary Report

I’m not qualified to make ANY intelligence or counterintelligence observations
Generally speaking having a heightened FISC Application process is a good thing. As you can see the DOJ-OIG found ONE material misrepresentation or omission within hundreds of pages in 14 applications
Not ALL errors are the same
IMO the Court’s heightened scrutiny is a good thing.
The concern is Trump will over hype this & further demonize the FBI & perceived “deep state” BS.
Undermining the FISC application process —>impacts to our National Security

it should be noted that when errors were identified the FBI acted swiftly to cure said defects. The notion that FISA abuse is rampant is disingenuous
Nor is it supported by the facts. Sure the FBI may have made mistakes, the distinction is the FBI fixed it

And perhaps I’m naive;

I want our FBI & intelligence community to have all the tools that the law allows for them to keep our Country Safe & to keep our Allies safe.
I’m willing to overlook inadvertent “sloppiness” like types or incorrect dates but abuse

of the FISC Application process isn’t remotely close to what happened. Yes some errors NO abuse
Perhaps I’m on an island when I say:
I’m of sick seeing the @FBI being attacked by Trump & his sycophants. This makes us less safe & its unpatriotic AF

”The ability to surveil and to investigate using FISA authorities remains critical to confronting current national security threats, including election interference, Chinese espionage and terrorism.”
