When minimum wage was created, it was intended to be the minimum amount needed to be able to afford to live, the current federal minimum wage is far below that.
No person can live on $7.25 an hour.
I don't want to hear
"Oh, then get a degree or a job that pays better"
because not everyone has those immediate options

If you have an issue with people being able to afford to live off of a higher minimum wage, you're a monster.
These mimimum wage jobs that everyone trashes on are most of the same jobs that were considered "essential" when Covid hit

But instead of seeing the value that these employees have, they were put at a higher risk.

Minimum wage needs to be something you can live on.
