Lets talk abt "glorification" of birth based varnavyavastha. Have you heard abt untouchable brahmins of eastern UP, bihar? These brahmins are/were considered untouchables even by the "classified" low caste and dalits.

Forget urban areas these brahmins arent even allowed to live in villages & they usually settle outiside of a village.
They come only if there is a death, to perform last rites & eat bhoj..they are considered such a bad omen that when they go back ppl hit them with pebbles 2/n

Lets talk abt being regressive..they dont even let their kids study, why? Because, If they study they will stop doing their traditional rituals and family will suffer. Even though they are considered lowest of the lowest..this particular job atleast give them food to eat 3/n

U can ask anyother caste/subcaste to stop so their traditonal work by giving them reservationa and they might find some prestigous job..but these untouchable brahmins cant, if they do who will perform last rites? who will eat bhoj? 4/n

Hindu caste structure is such that every other caste is both below and above in heirarchy. But these untouchable brahmins are the lowest...coz death is final just like their social status.
