Fellow PhD students: how old were you when you started your program? I just turned 26, & I've already been told a handful of times by others that I'm "very old" for a First Year & I definitely think I'm the oldest in my cohort!

No shame here as I spent my postbac in research and gaining clinical experience, but I'm curious to see if I'm the only oldie in the bunch who got a late (?) start.

Also, I should also point out that this point wasn’t meant to call out those who have made comments about being older than most of my cohort, but to gauge the age of those who entered their program (out of curiosity)

For anyone who cares, I just checked with my lovely cohort and I AM (so far) the oldest in my cohort! Not by very much, maybe a year or two, but still. We're all on our own path, doing all the things and are AMAZING
