Modern Ireland is an utterly Nihilistic abyss. Having renounced its religious and cultural patrimony, the "New Ireland" offers nothing but inhuman materialism and savage Philistinism, defining itself as a rootless landmass, devoid of history or shared memory.

The ferocity of Ireland's self-annihilation is somewhat unique in Europe, as it has involved a conscious and thorough repudiation of the nation's character and soul. All culture, history and memory antedating the 1990's is violently rejected.

A "new nation" was deliberately fashioned, characterized by moral degeneration, rank individualism and a "global culture" created and directed by the barbaric forces of finance capitalism. The result has been misery, despair and the tragic suicide of an ancient nation.
