Student housing is grossly predatory and extremely negligent to the lives of their tenants, the people literally giving them business. I’ve had the worst experience with @SocialTallahass over the last year, and I think it’s time to document it on a public forum.
I’ve been having issues with them regarding a lease termination since July, and they have not been understanding at all. I had to terminate my lease because I can’t afford to live there anymore due to COVID since I lost my job, and my parents did too so I have no way to pay 2/
I’ve also felt an urgency to leave because I found mold in the kitchen. My apartment was invested with bugs and the apartment is literally underground, so the constant humidity made me sick. This wasn’t a safe space for me to live in. 3/
After documenting everything and contacting the property manager and the regional manager, who have both ignored my calls and emails, they were not understanding about my situation and made it my responsibility to find a replacement tenant. Which I did. 4/
Thank you to everyone that’s shown support I really appreciate it!! In only 2 days, this thread has over 9000 views and I’ve sent 2 additional emails. I still have not been contacted by the manager or corporate. @SocialTallahass @TrinityPmTweets how will we move forward?
