I don't often tweet warnings but I have a big concern. There have been a huge amount of non Welsh accounts on here today trying to tell us who classifies as being Welsh. In particular they are trying to argue that people of colour cannot be Welsh. 1/

Most people in Cymru embrace our diversity and how it enriches all of our lives. There are many different things that make us Welsh but it's nothing to do with colour, ethnicity, religion, who are ancestors were or even where we were were raised. 2/

It doesn't matter if we don't live here or have never lived here. What matters is that we have a love of Wales, a respect for her land and our fellow Cymry. It is what is in our hearts that makes us Welsh. 3/

My opinion is that the accounts that have been bombarding us with questions about what makes us Welsh are bots or similar. They are trying to divide us. Trying to stir trouble between us. Please let's just not engage with them. They are not worth it. Block and ignore them /End
