storytime:
in elementary school our teacher set up a penpal project with another school in alaska so my entire class in hawaiʻi became penpals with some kids in alaska for a school year. i got paired up with a kid named darius and we were pretty cool with one another.
during the halfway point of the school year we had the oppurtunity to send our penpals stuff that we would then supposedly get back, basically let our penpals borrow something of ours and get them to know us a little. i sent darius my yu-gi-oh card “gladiator beast darius”
i thought he’d think it was cool cause it had his name on it. ok, so later near the end of the year all the other kids in my class got their stuff back but darius didn’t, so i repeatedly asked darius to return my “gladiator beast darius” card back but he’d always say back,
“i’ll remember to next time.” well, its been over a decade since that penpal project and I WANT MY YU-GI-OH CARD BACK DARIUS IF YOU’RE ON TWITTER AND SEE THIS I WANT IT BACK YOU ALASKAN DORK
