ariana grande is not blackfishing and never has, a thread:
i want to start by saying, i’ve seen a few similar threads and i’m not trying to copy anyone’s tweet ! to this day i still see people trying to convince me and many others that ariana is blackfishing and i’m here to show evidence on how that statement is untrue.
so let’s begin with the infamous ariana grande 2016 AMA pictures. i’m not denying ariana may have gotten a spray tan for this event, however there are edited photos that make her look way more tan than she actually was.
i color-matched the skintone on the real photo vs the edited photo. keep in mind, the photos i used were taken seconds apart so it’s not a “lighting difference” because you can see the “abc” logo behind her head in both photos, same with the AMA’s logo behind her back.
i understand how the previous edited photo was somewhat believable, however i don’t understand how people even believe these insane highly over-edited photos, are real. these are so clearly fake and i don’t feel the need to explain how it’s so clear

now, let’s talk about victorious. in a tweet from 2011 that is still currently on arianas account, she states: “wearing make up that’s AT LEAST 3 shades lighter than my skin”. so don’t even TRY with the pictures of ariana with studio lighting and light shades of makeup.
here are some more examples of studio lighting on photoshoots vs stills from victorious episodes. you can clearly see the difference in skintone.
now let’s talk about how ariana has been tan since she was a BABY. since she was a CHILD. i’m certain she hasn’t spray tanned since birth, so give that theory up.

i will probably add to this thread as time goes on, but please give up on the “ariana is blackfishing” statement. also credits to @/rulethewrldd for the collage on the previous tweet.
some people are bringing up the 2016 MTV awards show, so here is the photo that everyone uses saying “she’s so dark” what you all need to realize, is that this photo was taken while they were performing, therefor there were stage light colors such as purple, pink and blue (...)
(...) which means that photo was most likely edited so the lights weren’t as extreme. i would solely blame this photo on bad lighting. here is an unedited picture with better lighting when they were performing:
the pictures under this tweet showed how she looked in the venue before ariana performed. as you can see she is much paler on these pictures as there is no stage lighting! so that’s what she really looked like that night.
incase y’all ain’t satisfied yet, here are pictures of ariana on the carpet before the event began. you’re embarrassing yourself by using the one photo with bad lighting when there’s a bunch of other photos from that night PROVING her skintone. go sign some petitions or somethin!
