Nainar has been “pacified”. He ain’t going anywhere. At least,not for now. BJP a party in power for over 6 years, goes out of its way to reach out to its people and takes all efforts to retain them. They have a better understanding on the value that people can bring to the party!

Apparenly, that Nainar was going to switch went to the ears of no less than the PM of India. Delhi reached out to him directly. Delhi is steered by LOGIC and what’s right for the party, NOT EGO. Reason why BJP has been politically successful!

While running a political organisation one cannot be guided by personal likes or dislikes. I have never seen Amit Shah or PM weighing personal choices over political decisions. Almost every decision they take is to increase their vote share. They are 24/7/365 politicians!

Love them or hate them, BJP cannot be ignored anywhere in the country now. Reason - the way Shah and Modi run the party putting organisation first. Their ego is visible in administration, not in political management. Their priorities in politics is CLEAR!

Almost in every district in TN, BJP/RSS have a team under one Dist leadership (who is not in frontline politics) managing operational issues and building strong narratives. They have been gathering data on disgruntled people in every party, and the value they can bring to BJP!!!

Political Orgs. provide a power base for individuals. In other words, political structures must provide opportunities for individuals to develop careers and therefore provide platforms for the expression of their interests for the group they represent. Politics comes FIRST!

Undoubtedly, young and fresh faces must be provided an opportunity in political organisations. However, we cannot have an under 12 age play in Virat Kohli’s team unless the U12 can find a proper abdomen guard to protect against any fatal injury!

We cannot underestimate BJP or continue to attribute their votebank to NOTA. In TN, ADMK and BJP are one and the same. They have common voters too. Yes, DMK does have a clear lead. But, if DMK allows personal decisions to outweigh political choices, it can be SUICIDAL!!

Merely because “someone” airs POLITICAL VIEWS that is not to the liking of somebody, that “someone” cannot be seen as the enemy! One must have the maturity and decency to see the strength of a message regardless of the messenger.

A political pyramid exists when people constantly compete for power. In other words, people cannot get the power they want just for the asking. Instead, they have to enter into the decisions on how to distribute authority in any formal political organization structure!!

Power tussle or collapse of a democratic organisation can arise when undeserving individuals gain power in absolute terms at organisation’s expense, purely because of personal choices made by a political organisation.

Decisions taken by political organisations must be steered by mapping the political terrain of the respective regions or constituencies. Under any situation, this cannot be personal.

Understanding the political terrain can help parties. Any turf leader who is projected must have the capacity to avoid the hidden traps of political dynamics, defend themselves against the dark side of politics, and use what they know to support wider organizational goals!!

BJP is a growing party because their decisions are purely organisational. They build fantastic narratives, a combination of nationalist rhetoric and religious polarisation helps them tremendously. Above all, they have churned BJP to a PERFECT ELECTION WINNING MACHINE!!!

Since 2001, DMK has never ever lost a single vote because Jayalalithaa/ADMK was better. DMK lost only because it allowed others to capitalise on its own mistakes. I think history can often be the best lesson and leaders can help their orgs better by looking back!
