I’m in talking mood, so let’s make small thread about promotion over cosplay industry.
First of all... We usually get the best spot and rise with matching cosplay of popular characters.

It doesn’t have to be “accurate”, yet it has to be on spot and have some interesting idea in it.

I am known for Ryuko, Merida, Aloy and Triss. Also for 2b.
You think it’s essential to look like character? Pffft, bullshit. My first pics of Triss were shamed by community, as I was looked to young and my b00bs were too big 🤣

I got discover with her alternative dress, as people already knew my Triss before and accepted her
Next one - use tags. But don’t use big ones! No one will find your content over endless pics. Small tags work well for creators, even when you are around 100k, like I am. I take on tags with 1000-15000 posts, and they work great.
Another hit - use relevant tags. Sadly we can’t check automatically how relevant current tag is, but I honestly use my intuition. It doesn’t work in 100% cases, but it works.
It’s big case for creator - create popular content or create content that you enjoy.

I make content that I enjoy and build untypical brand of manager/producer within cosplay industry. This makes me happy 🤗
But if you enjoy some popular or hyping content, then take advantage over it! Your happiness will bring inspiration and gonna help you with creation of great content!
If you want to make big project, tell it as solid story. Start with costest, then save up and show costume progresses, don’t forget about additional learnings (as example, I learned stage fencing for utena project).

People won’t enjoy solid pic. They will enjoy story
Collaboration also works great. I don’t do collaborations with other creators of my size, and this makes my progress pretty slow.

Yet it’s important to think what you can offer for collaboration. And be honest with offer. If you want to collaborate for growth, speak about that.
Maybe I gonna continue this thread later, but I spoke enough to become happy and calm, now going to eat watermelon 🍉
