Since some people don't know how racist Eleanor is, here's a thread about what she did:

before we start off, i'm not trying to spread hate about her, but she really needs to address this. plus, she hasn't apologized about anything in this thread. (i'm pretty sure)

Let's start with this video:

She says, "I'm on a leash like a dog".

As I have learned, that "leash" is a significant part of a Hindu wedding. It symbolises the unity between the two families, bonding as one. So, this is very important in Indian culture.

Now we have this video:

In this video, El's friend, Max Hurd, is calling it a leash, while saying, "now I can finally control her". There is obviously something wrong about this statement. If you can't, well, I don't know what to tell you. Some of El's fans +

(Calderics, if you didn't already know) ignore this. Maybe because it doesn't fit their narrative of her being a "perfect and unproblematic angel".

I don't know why El was there with Max, wearing the "leash" (i don't know if there's a name for it, please tell me if there is), since it's for a wedding... but she was disrespecting the culture either way.

It's common knowledge that you should respect someone's culture, whether you know info about it or not. But even if El didn't mean for her joke to be rude, it was still disrespectful to Indian culture. Lack of understanding is NO excuse for racism.

Also, she WAS a fashion influencer at the time. So you need to understand that she really needed to respect different cultures, since she was traveling to different countries with different cultures.

She should've at least understood a little bit of the culture during her time in India. And if she didn't know, she should've apologized by now. Plus, anyone else who didn't know about the culture would have taken their time to educate themselves on India's culture. +

But, even if they didn't educate themselves they would at least have the decency to be respectful of other countries' cultures, just in case they might be rude without knowing.

But obviously, if you're ignorant you're not going to do that. And plus, she was RECORDING when she said that, which makes it even worse. Who knows what she says off camera if she had the courage to say that while filming.

So please stop ignoring this. Eleanor is a racist, and Calderics have to realize that the reason why we don't respect her is because of this. And I don't think she would apologize YEARS after this video. So please stop making her seem like an unproblematic queen.
