Covid-19 has not disappeared in Pak; the curve has flattened temporarily, but cases will re-emerge if we are not careful.

Heres what govt has done for you so far:

- Reduced mortality. Less than 40 daily deaths reported in last week

- Ventilators available; 87% are unoccupied

At present, Covid-19 wards should be at minimum capacity, maintaining free flow of patients, and resourced to meet needs of patients that will be infected in aftermath of Eid break.

This means those who will develop severe infection will be cared for in hospitals properly.

There is a higher chance those patients requiring ventilation will be allocated a ventilator.

The government has timed this impeccably. Pak will probably experience another wave of outbreaks, as we did last Eid, but what is important to remember is hospitals are under capacity

If at any point we do not reach peak hospital capacity, we are doing fine.

We must all be vigilant: remember that if you've been infected during Eid, you will be contagious before you feel sick, and for ~10 days after. Please stay home if you can, social distance if you can't.
