I could be mistaken, but it seems that the culture wars are really about which version of the natural law (2nd use of the law) will take precedence in a society that’s not allowed to split apart peacefully.
Not to mention, Christians are a part of both kingdoms. The natural law has as much binding power as the moral law. They just manifest differently in the life of the believer.
So… What’s wrong with fighting the culture war of abortion? How about the culture war of tyrannical government, which were instituted by God to uphold what is right and true? How about the culture war of transgenderism?
The coronavirus and the government tyranny accompanying it, has revealed the deficiencies of all areas of life. Each sector of society and its weaknesses. Including, in the church.
Thus, exasperating and revealing the infection from below.

I think it would be very wise to get straight our views on two kingdoms theology. And figure out a response from there.
Because my two kingdoms is not your two kingdoms. Your one kingdom may be somewhat similar to my two kingdoms, but it’s also very different.

A dispensational couple at my old church said that postmillennialists are simply social justice warriors with the Christian spin (heh!)
A handful of my reconstructionist friends think that I want to abandon the entire culture and curl into a ball and wait for Christ to come back

Thing is, whether you deny there being a culture war at all, or that there is a culture war, that we should not get into it, or if you think there’s a culture war and we need to go on the offense and take over a small town-
We need to define our terms, in light of confessional terminology, and peacefully separate or join forces, and bring the Gospel to bear in our own communities.
And stop bickering. Seriously. Stop it.
Those who are seemingly being apathetic, will die out. Or, outlast the people who get thrown in jail and ruin their witness. *sarcasm*
We all basically know there is a culture war. It’s creating divisions in the church. It’s really sad.

I’m not sure if I’m upset, sad, or angry. I guess I’m under the delusional impression that if all these folks simply decided to quarantine together, and discuss things over some good food and alcohol, we could all get along.
It would be pretty great if the Protestant, Reformed and Calvinistic (those who are not corrupted by CRT amd social justive), would focus their forces on addressing the three uses of the law in the church, the home, and the state.
Maybe I’m just hoping that there will be a revival. That these little pockets of persecution that are growing here in the west, will eventually kick us in the pants, and we will have to get along. Wouldn’t be cool, if we could start doing that now.
I feel like Roger Scruton, who looked at the beauty of civilizations past, who looked at eternal truths - Then looked down, at the current mess of the world. How this high tower, is plummeting to the ground. And realized he could do nothing about it.
I will not be able to meet the qualifications of an elder for a little while yet. I’m an oddball theologically, I don’t really fit in any neat category.
Unlike a lot of young people the past few decades, I know I cannot change the world.

Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep. Psalm 127

The world is errupting. The culture war within the church, is the reflection of the outside world, and of higher spiritual realities.
All I have to do now, is buckle up, and get ready for the road trip.
