We are both professionals with strong work ethics and never shared any confidential information. However, I was witness to the impact this "patronizing" experience had on her empathetic, brave and brilliant mind.

Does an education system that claims to care for children treat a child as a token for diversity and then discard them casually when their agendas don't align? As a mom, I had to be a bystander in excruciating pain; as an educator in #Onted I was embarrassed.

We can't let the kids do this heavy lifting while they sacrifice their childhood innocence. As a parent, I implore...let's allow the kids to step back while we start to wake up, stop being complicit and lead the fight. Yes, the kids are phenomenal but we now need to step it up!
