Want to know how to write incredible copy that leads to:

- More followers?
- More Thank You's?
- More sales?
- and a HUGE bank account?

Then read this Must-Have Beginner's Guide to Effective Copywriting 📝

[MEGA THREAD]

I promise you won't regret this

👇
I'll start off with the basics.

Copywriting is essentially the art of persuasive writing.

Your responsibility is to convince people that whatever you have to offer is worth it to them.

By definition that means the goal is to help people.

Plain & Simple. 👇
And when you understand how to use the power of words to motivate people to take action, you can convince them to do anything.

But you NEED to draw the line!

👇👇
Effective copywriting is a very powerful tool and I will never advocate you use it for selfish reasons or to scam people.

Anyone who does that is pathetic.

And even if you get some traction with shady tactics, I guarantee it won't last long.

Don't do it. 👇
If you spend your time genuinely helping you audience and providing valuable content, they'll return the favor.

If you haven't, go read about the Rule of Reciprocity.

With the basics out the way, let me show you how to drastically improve your copy (7 Rules)
1 - Understand Your Audience's Needs

I'm going to try and sum this up in 2 words - Be Knowledgeable.

You can't provide any solutions otherwise.

That means you need to position yourself as someone who can help.

Remember --> Great copy is never about you. 👇
2 - Benefits Sell, Not Features

Features are nothing but characteristics.

Benefits are what people want.

Think about the last gumroad course you bought.

Did you buy it because you liked all the work?

No

You bought because you want freedom.

Benefits sell
3 - K.I.S.S

Keep It Simple Silly

Effective copy doesn't have to be complicated.

Make it super easy for people to understand your offer.

Be concise and straight to the point.

Don't beat around the bush.

P.S. Simple doesn't imply grammatical errors.

👇
4 - Use Active Voice

A - This thread is great because it can help you write great copy.

B - If you read this entire thread you'll become a better copywriter.

Which one sounds better?

If you said B, you guessed right.

Active voice gets the point across. 👇
5 - Show The Transformation

People want outcomes

But you have to take it step further - It needs to be realistic.

Make it easy for people to believe they can achieve their goals

If someone can imagine themselves doing it, they're more likely to buy into it
6 - Hone In On Emotions

People buy based on emotions and justify with logic.

Cigarettes are horrible but people still buy them.

Junk food sucks but it's a billion dollar industry.

Why?

Rationale says they're horrible but emotions say otherwise.
I need to re-emphasize something about the previous point.

DO NOT SELL OR OFFER CRAPPY PRODUCTS!

I wrote that in all caps for a reason.

If you're going to tug at heartstrings, make sure it's rewarding.

The headache of spammy products isn't worth it.

👇
7 - Help, Don't Sell

If you're going to leave from here with only one thing, it should be this ☝️

Nobody likes being sold to.

It's not that they don't want to buy, they want to make that decision on their own.

Help first then offer a solution later.
Thank you for reading all the way through.

Here are the 7 Rules again:

1 - Understand Your Audience's Needs
2 - Benefits Sell, Not Features
3 - Keep It Simple
4 - Use Active Voice
5 - Show The Transformation
6 - Hone In On Emotions
7 - Help, Don't Sell
