Also today at 4:30 at the Pulpit Rock trailhead is a memorial protest for De’Von Bailey organized by Empowerment Solidarity Network and MOVE. They plan to march through the neighborhood of CSPD officer Alan Van’t Land, who shot Bailey in 2019 and Robert Kresky in 2012.

Protesters staging at Pulpit Rock Trailhead. Some folks open carrying. Not much of a counter-protester presence yet.
There is a squad of legal observers from @ColoradoNlg
A bit of a traffic snarl if anyone is heading North on Nevada past @UCCS
A lot of weapons and tactical gear today. I can spot at least 3 generations of ballistic vests here. About a platoon-sized(Army, not USMC) element of protesters right now...
Speaker addressing crowd, “they are overpolicing communities of color!” It’s starting to rain, crowd about to move out.
@CSPDPIO just announced in order to remain lawful protesters can’t stop in front of one house, must stay on sidewalk.
Crowd is in front of Truck guy #2’s house, and he grabbed his gun.
Heard reports that a number of protesters found nails behind their tores when they got back to the trailhead. Someone provided me this one.
