THREADTook me a while to reflect on my 1st FPL19/20 season. I didn't reach my target goal of top 100K because I didnt know the game till GW5 and only after I joined FPL Twitter community. Here are some of my thoughts and what I might do differently for the upcoming one.
GK:
I had 8 GK in total- Alisson, Ederson, Adrian, Ryan, Pope, Patricio, McCarthy and Martinez. It's important that both my GK in my squad are playing. Having 1 cheap GK as a bench fodder doesn’t really help much when the main keeper gets injured or gets a game ban. Eg, Alisson!

DEF:
Believe it or not, I only brought in Trent at GW24. I realised his impact too late and my rivals in my mini-leagues all had him from the start which gave them an added advantage.

MID-FIELD:

transfers to the MF players. I do not have the patience to with them as I expect most of my point to come from the MF section.

FORWARDS:
Vardy and Ings were my favourite forwards this season. I made a mistake and transfer out Ings after the restart as SOU had tough fixtures ahead. Again mistake learnt..FORM OVER FIXTURE! I deeply regret that decision as Ings punished me with goals every week..

Premium FWD: Jesus/Aguero/Auba/Werner [9.0-11.0]
Mid FWD: Ings [6.0-8.5]
Budget: Greenwood[5.0-6]
My strategy for next season will be to play 4-4-2 or 3-5-2. As I am not a fan of having 4 defenders, I feel the best suitable approach will be 3-5-2.

* Stick to reliable captain each week. Switching armbands to newly transferred in players often does not work (for me).
* Always have 2 FT on hand, it’s the best approach to go so as not to take hits or play your chips on impulse

* I took only 4 hits last season as I was playing very safe. I have no regrets although those hits did not work favourably for me.
* TC & BB during DGW works! I used TC on Salah during DGW24 and it was a success. I used the BB chip on DGW30+ and it was also was a success and

got me my first 100+ points! I would look into this approach again if there are good DGW to tap into for points and rank boost.
* Have a planner and strategize my transfers and make sure I stick with it unless unforeseen circumstances to the player.

* Wildcard before GW10 as by then I would know the strength of some of the players and whom to have in my squad.
* As much as I like getting tips and advices from FPL managers in the community, I should stand by my decision and navigate my squad that would suit me the best.

* Don’t stress over Pep roulette as it was agonising week after week to double guess city’s line up. Stick with safe approach with confirmed starters eg Ederson & KDB & Aguero.
* Join as many mini-leagues as possible!!
