as editors we come from very different theoretical backgrounds - our common ground is #fanstudies, #culturalstudies and #platformstudies but we’d love to be surprised & intrigued by entries from areas of scholarship that are outside our remit!

maybe you’ve looked at YouTube’s offerings re #MuseumFromHome for example - or you’ve got a more quantitative angle on content that’s been uploaded of late. maybe you have a YouTube-flavoured pet project outside of your main thesis ( #guilty)

feel free to email or DM either of us with questions, rough ideas etc - especially if you’re thinking of submitting in a format outside the “norm”. these are weird times and we’re keen to reduce barriers to publication at a time when PHDs & ECRs are struggling

the turnaround is quite quick (1st September!) because we feel it’s key to capture the zeitgeist of YouTube asap. if this is a problem (annual leave, childcare etc) - let us know! can’t wait to see what you come up with!
