The transfer business I would like to see us complete over the summer. [Detailed Thread]
First lets talk about the 2 signings we have already completed, they are of course, Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner for a combined £80m. These 2 signings have strongly increased our attacking threat bringing 2 world class players to the club, low blocks aren't ready for this 🔥.
Next up its Kai Havertz a player who's very close to joining Chelsea rn. Personal terms have been agreed weeks ago, the player is pushing for a move and official talks between the clubs have started. A fee is set to be around £80m. Haverz is a very strong and fast player,
2 footed with an abundance of technical ability. He's also an aerial threat, has an ability to score headers which fits our system well. As well as this he's extremely versatile, predominately plays in midfield but can do a job in centre foward and on the wings. With Ziyech,
Werner and Havertz (90% chance of becoming a blue 💙) our attacking problems of breaking down low blocks seems sorted. With 2 attacking 8's the way Lampard is looking to play, Havertz is a huge upgrade on Ross Barkley and will play a massive part in our team next season.
Now our attack is complete for next season, I would like to move on to the position we need to improve the most. A Goalkeeper. Even after spending £72m for Kepa last season to replace Courtois, he has not solved our issues and isn't even an upgrade to Caballero who would've been
Our 1st choice GK if we didn't sign Kepa. Some stats are:
• Worst save % in PL history with 54.5%. 730th place
• Has conceded 8% of Chelsea's goals since 1992. IN 2 SEASONS.
• For 14/47 goals conceded this season he HASNT MOVED

He's also operating at
13 goals under his XG conceded this season. This table shows just how poor he's been in 2019/20 and how he wasn't even great last season. He's massively underpeforming. All the signs point to us needing a new commanding, shot-stopping goalkeeper.

My preferred option:

1) Onana.

Imo Onana is the ideal replacement for Kepa. He's young, would be cheap for around €30m and statistically he's world class. The best way to analyse a GKs shot stopping quality is Post Shot xGA. Of this he ranks 1st/32 GK's in the UCL this season
The last 2 seasons in the UCL he has conceded 19 goals and his Post Shot xGA is 28.2 meaning he he prevented 9.2 goals.

Save percentage in 2018-19 UCL competition: 76%
Save percentage in 2019-20 UCL competition: 86%

Of 6 goals conceded in the UCl this season, 2 were penalties.
2) Oblak

A lot of people rn are talking about buying Oblak. However signing him for £110m in this window isnt feasible especially as we still need to strengthen in other positions. His wage is €400k a week, if we were ever going to sign him it would've been last season. Wake up
The next positon where we desperately need improvement is our LB. Emerson tricked us all in his purple patch last season but in reality he's awful. Alonso struggles at LB and is much better at LWB, but we mainly play 4atb. We need a great starting left back. My preferred option:
1) Tagliafico

Tagliafico is a brilliant LB, solid defensively, great mentality (and we struggle for leaders) and brings a good balance in the team with RJ's offensive capabilities on the other side. He's cheap at £23m (a 1/3 price of Chilwell). Ucl quality. He's a no-brainer.
Other options include Chilwell, Telles and Gosens. Imo Chilwell is a definite no. Very expensive and just a very average player. Telles and Gosens are both available for around £22m but are a lot better offensively than defensively. Tagliafico would bring stability to our defence
In defence we also need a CB. Rudiger and Christensen have both been dreadful this season. Very inconsistent, mistake prone, not Chelsea quality. We've conceded 54 goals this season the most we ever have in the 21st century and although Kepa didn't help, the defence has been poor
1) Gimenez

Chelsea have recently scouted the CB and he's perfect for us. He puts everything on the line, a true warrior in defence

This season:

71% aerial duels
71% ground duels
86% pass accuracy
1.1 interceptions per game
3.4 clearances per game
0.2 dribbled past per game
2) Rice

Yes he is a DM but if he were to sign Lampard would play him as a CB. Imo he's a great player, a leader, class mentality, fantastic defensive ability and would be a ball playing CB which we don't have atm. Also he's proper Chels, fits the sysyem, only 21. Would cost £65m
This season's stats. (WHU Ranked)

88 tackles won [1st]
234 successful pressures [1st]
378 defensive third pressures [1st]
377 midfield third pressures [1st]
76 interceptions [1st]
2010 touches [1st]
1316 ball carries [1st]

Also he played every minute this season. Baller 🌟.
Any one of these players would massively improve our defence and be solid partners to Zouma. Their both extremely versatile and good on the ball. Gimenez's release clause is £110m but he will be available for around £75m. Barkley and Bats could be used in a swap deal for Rice.
The last player we need is a winger to replace Willian.

Saïd Benhrahma this season:

244 attempted take-ons [1st]
168 total shots taken [1st]
135 successful take-ons [2nd]
93 chances created [5th]
64 shots on target [1st]
17 goals [5th]
8 assists [8th]

Bargain for £20m. King 🇩🇿
Outgoings:

• Kepa £35m loan with option/obligation to buy
• Christensen/Rudiger £30m
• Emerson £20m
• Jorginho £45m
• Barkley £20m
• Batshuayi £25m
• Bakayoko £25m
• Kenedy £10m
• Zappacosta £10m

Potential Total = £220m + £215m from last seasons sales = £435m
So now we've established we have the budget to spend big this summer lets look at a potential lineup for next season.

This team would cost us around £297m with Onana or £377m with Oblak. Depending on how many outgoings we achieve will determine which GK we end up signing.
We would keep Ampadu and sign Joe Hart as backup options. Imo this squad has the perfect blend of attack and defence, it suits our system and will solve our problems. We will be more solid at the back, create more chances from the midfield, clinical up top and have a reliable GK.
We also have an incredible squad depth so we can comfortably complete in all competitions with reliable backup options. I didn't include the possible outgoings in my lineup and most likely not all them will leave, so the squad will be even stronger. This team can win titles🏆.
