How to support artists/creators without spending money, A thread:
1. Interact with there content. Alike on a post or tweet when you see it, and a comment, can help push that post within the algorithm
2. If they make videos/streams, watch the video through to the end, or leave a lurk on there stream if you can. This again helps boost numbers, and can help them get noticed.
3. Got friends with the same interests? Show them there work! The best thing for a creator is finding someone that enjoys what they do
4. Interact/give feedback when asked. Creators are trying new things, help them out if you think its working.
A creator should never expect you to give them money or financially support them. But if you want to support, and don't want to do this with funds, honestly showing love and support to what they do is huge!
Algorithms really create struggles for small creators, as platforms push content that gets high interaction before anything else. Interacting with this content tells the algorithm you want to see it!
Final Note: The algorithm is more likely to push content that you previously interacted with. If you want to see a person's work, make sure to interact, and you're more likely to get updates. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk
