I’m glad both Spyro and Crash are back but to be honest, what really makes me sad is that people don’t seem to give Spyro a chance. All they apparently see in him is just “the lesser Crash” or something. Sure Spyro may seem like a “kiddy game”.

But on the inside there’s a lot more to it. It’s badass, the platforming is engaging, and the characters are very enjoyable. Plus it’s more character-focused and has more of a story than Crash. That’s what makes me love Spyro so much.

Heck, Spyro, Hunter, and Gnasty Gnorc were even added as guests in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. And Spyro even had his own race track. I really wish people would give Spyro a chance instead of treating the franchise like the “lesser Crash”.

I also wish Spyro would get the same love and recognition as Crash. So if you’re a Crash fan and never cared about Spyro because of how it may seem, you have to give the games a chance before bashing them. I’d recommend starting with Reignited Trilogy. Because

not only did that trilogy remake come a year after the N. Same Trilogy, but it’s also an improvement to the original games. It has beautiful graphics, expressive characters, smooth controls, and I guarantee you will get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

In conclusion, I won’t make you play the Spyro games but I really do hope you’ll at least give this purple dragon a chance with an open mind. And hopefully someday Spyro will be loved and recognized just like Crash.
