This is the summary of UK nurses Salary. Follow the thread. Salary strictly depends on what you do, what band you are, where you work, who you work with and how you work. It ranges between £12 to £60/hr but never reach £100 for any nurse. See explanation #Thread
#What you do .. The basic starting salary for a RN is £24,907/Yr about 12.38/hr. If you are a specialist such as ITU certified nurse, Psychiatry nurse, anaesthetic nurse and so on you may recieve more as up to £15-£18 per hour.
#What band you are. As a band 5 your starting salary is £24,907 to £26k which is £12.38/hr or more. Band 6 is around £28 to £30k £15/hr or more ; variable years of experience. Band 7 collects more
#Where you work. NHS pays the least salary for nurses in the UK and it starts from £24,907 for a band 5. Care homes and private hospitals can pay up to 26k to 33k for a band 5. Between £15 to £22 or more per hour
#Who you work with. As earlier mentioned NHS, Care home or private hospitals all salary differs and NHS pays least. Also you can work with Agencies as a second job they pay up £30/hr some agencies pay up to £40 for even a band 5
#How you work. There are some nurses who only works on night duty or weekend only . They collect more pay cos there is enhancement for both. I met a band 5 yesterday whose starting salary is £42,000 per year working nights only. Can you imagine.
Overall, there has never been an Ordinary RN collecting £100/hr in the UK. The max ever witnessed is btwn £60-80 not on full time job or high rank. (Agenciesor a Chief nurse or Matron undoubtedly) . Don't be deceived and promise your village people range rover before u leave o
