Dear Young Nigerian

If you are within the age of 25 to 35, PLEASE LEAVE THE COUNTRY. It’s for your own good

There is no scenario where things continue in this way and your future is a happy one -NONE!

Or FIGHT as though your life depends on it. It actually does

Why?
#Thread
1. Nigeria is a lawless country for the rich. The laws are made only for the poor citizens. >50% already live in abject poverty.

In fact, the richer you get, the lesser laws apply to you. Unfortunately, the rich already have a plan to keep you poor, and it’s a solid plan
2. Nigeria is the per project of a class of people - I call them the framers of the constitution.

You see, in a country, the people usually come together to say this is how we will be governed. In a project, a few people come together and say this is how we will execute.
Nigeria is not a country, Nigeria is a project. The more you read the constitution, the more you realise that things are designed the way they are because it benefits the framers and their children, most of whom are still alive today
3. You have no rights. In fact, you are not a citizen, you are a like a laborer in a construction site who has signed away all his/her rights just so you can work and get paid stipends daily.

The same constitution that ‘establishes’ your rights also take them away in chapter 2
4. You are servicing on a daily basis the expensive lifestyle of the owners of this project with your sweat and blood.

By the very virtue of your work, you pay money in a daily basis to keep this machine called Nigeria running so it can keep benefiting that project owners
You pay taxes, levies, fines, bribes so that the project can keep running. But it’s still not enough. So they take loans in your name as well that you will pay back in the future and give it to them.

They then loot all these and use it for their lifestyles.
5. At best, you are a project manager. If you earn well and work in a company and can afford to do all these and still afford luxury, you can be convinced to think that you’re now an owner of this project, no you’re not.

You are just a policy shift away from the rest of us.
And it won’t matter how long you have been managing their project, what matters is that the project goes on. Don’t get settled. You have not arrived. There is no arrival here.
6. Yesterday was better, today is bad, tomorrow will be worse.

This should be your guiding philosophy. It’s the Nigerian Nightmare!

If you think you have money saved up somewhere or steady income, just wait for two years, and check if the value is increasing or decreasing
For example, how much were you earning two years ago, how much are you earning now, what is your worth in dollars? Just calculate.

For an economy highly dependent on the dollar, go to the market and find out what your increased income can afford to buy and compare to 2 years ago
7. Nigeria is going to kill you. I am not speaking metaphorically and this is not a prophecy of doom.

It’s just the reality. A trailer can fall on your keke while you are working for the system. A policeman can shoot you because you are wearing dreads...
... a random man can rape your three year old child to death, unknown gunmen can kidnap and kill you if your family does not have enough money to bail you. A stray bullet can hit you & if you think you are combat pilot, a car in reverse can take your life inside a military base
If these 7 reasons are not enough to convince you to leave this country or start fighting for the soul of this country, then you are a very very stupid fellow (sorry to use the ‘s’ word) and your children will regret you are their parent.

As for me and my house, we will fight!
How do you fight all these? Do we even stand a chance?

The answer lies in the numbers. If we put our numbers together, we will defeat the system. But if we keep fighting in silos, the system will keep making Martyrs out of us and nothing will change.

Strength In Numbers.
Our very lives depend on the battles for reforms that we fight today. There is a future if we fail or if the trends continue and it is a future we will all regret and a future your children will curse you for bringing them into such.

End.
